Ey! Wretched day of cold! We have been riding hard and forsaking our internet updates. Our apologies. We stayed at a lovely woman named Tinner's house last night in Ilion, NY. We got our own rooms and didn't have to set our tent up in the rain! That ole nasty fall rain got it's stabs at us today though. It was 39 degrees and steady from the sky all day long. I tried to prepare with baggy feet over my wool socks, but no matter, the rain found it's way to my toes. Joe got another flat, #22, his personal best. After he changed it we needed a serious moral boost and warm-up. We pushed it into town for some pizza with terribly frozen and soggy extremities. It was pretty dang hard to get riding again after the painful de-thawing process. I changed socks, rebaggied and we road on. Fifteen miles later toes and fingers numb again. Super sucktime. Joe convinced me to ride on, but I did so with utter scorn and hate. He found humor my crabbytimeface, making me more irritated. Soon after it started snowing. Ah well sometimes the days are crappy what-can-you-do? We made it to a motel, threw our clothes in the dryer, watched some World Series (what a game!). Tomorrow looks to be sunny so we are going to kill it to Massachusetts.

We are trekin it through New York real hard. Pastors Harold and Karen from Varysburg, NY were awesome to let us postup in there yard with our tent last night! They let us use their charming little church to cook our dindin, as well as shower us with blessings for a safe journey. Great people! We are getting rained on today a little and the nights are getting pretty chilly, but soon(ish) we will be eating lobster and drinking champagne with our friend Julian in Maine!

Last night we knocked on this lady's door who lived next to the church, as so we could notify her we were camping in the churchyard across from her house. She peered out the window through the blinds at us, and after seeing Joe's big ole scruff beard and my dirty face, she shook her head and motioned for us to leave! We camped on the other side of the church.

On your way out stop by Wall Drug.
Watch out for dinosaurs!
Badlands!
There sure are some small towns in South Dakota.
Small town slammer. Rough joint.
Freakin hitchhikers.
We got found on the side of the road in Ft. Pierre by Adam who got us a place to stay with his parents, Ron and Lee. We failed at getting a picture.
Breakfast = 1 watermelon
The sky is the most interesting thing in this part of South Dakota.
Someone loves this car.
50 mile an hour wind gusts are awesome as tailwinds. Sometimes they knock you off your bike if they're crosswinds.
Dawson, MN! If you are ever here go to the VFW. We met Rod and Wanda who let us stay in their spare room. Again failed at getting a picture of them.
Salamander!
Lunch?
Camping on the side of the bike trail outside of Hutchinson. A couple of joggers took one look at us in the morning and decided to go the other way.
Minneapolis has awesome bike paths into town!
Don't even wanna try this move.
