It's been nice resting our legs for a few days in Twin Falls, ID! We drove out to Craters of the Moon Park yesterday and dang-o it was fricken awesome. Lava! We have been camping out in Brandon's mom's backyard. Having showers and laundry is a luxury. We are going to play some disc golf today, maybe go down to the canyon do some kayaking? Tomorrow means onward towards the Rockies !

Yesterday was a rough day in the high desert of Oregon. We climbed a good 10 miles in 100 degrees weather. We climbed to our highest pass yet! We cruised down the windy steep grade for a few minutes, then....again we climbed, climbed, climbed for yet another pass! Ey! It sucked a lot, I must say.
No matter though, we killed it cause we are bike monsters now. I actually broke through the time/space continuum today with my mad speed.

Stayed in Ochoco National Forest last night. Creatures kept scurrying around above and below Joe's hammock while he slept. Haha.
Our morning started out with a fantastic 7 mile downhill coast! We stopped in a super small town, Mitchell where every building was a little bit leany. Then was a horrible horrible climb for about 6 miles. Thank the lord someone was nice enough to spray paint little phases of encouragement on the shoulder for us.
We had some great rolling hills after that, with a side of sweet sweet tailwind. Rode 37 miles to the next town through some breath-taking rock formations!

First night we camped behind a church with a long back yard, but then people showed up and started doing stuff at the church. We skedaddled real quick.
Second night camping on the side of the road.
Third night we
camped in a state park off the side of the road. It was a little slanty.
